this was such a lovely game and story, thank you for making it <3
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it :)
This is so well done! I love both the puzzle aspect and the story.
Thank you!! I'm glad you liked it :)
Very fun! I loved the puzzles, but I especially enjoyed getting to rescue all the animals.
Thanks, so glad you enjoyed it! <3
this was cute af! it wasn't too hard and it was very charming :)
Thank you, glad you liked it! <3
I think I might be stuck. I can only untie the finches and get the rod, but then no other options seem to become available to use?
If you can untie the finches, there should be one other thing you can do that you couldn't do before...unless there's a bug I didn't know about, which is very possible!
Ok thanks. I can't seem to find any more options no matter how many times I run through them. The other commenters seem to have worked it out though!
I forgot to post, I restarted the game a few days ago and whatever glitchy thing was happening for me had gone away and the next option turned up :) This is a nice game. I liked the details you put in like looking in the mirror and the bird noting he was a handsome macaw. You're right we did do a few similar things which is surprising in a good way :D
Oh good, I'm glad it finally worked! Hopefully it was a one-time thing. And thanks, glad you liked the game! :)
Love how wholesome this is. Currently picturing a friendly gaggle of traveling animals, Disney-style. Puzzles are also very well-balanced, just challenging enough without being too much trouble. You did so much with so little.
Thank you for the kind words! It is fun to imagine their further adventures—maybe they should get a sequel. :)
What a smart combination of seeds! Telling a complex story and having a set of clearly defined characters (and a PC with some spunk!) isn't easy within the parameters of Room; Closed Door, but you pulled it off. Great work!
Thanks so much! Room; Closed Door was one of the reasons I wanted to enter a game at all, and it was definitely a fun constraint to work with. I was hoping the minimalist writing would make sense with an animal protagonist, and I'm glad to hear you think it did!
This was amazing as all your games are. Love the writing and the puzzles. What a satisfying experience-- I'm so glad I gave this seed up instead of hoarding it uselessly.
Oh, I'm so glad you liked it! The seed shouted right at me as a game my childhood self would have wanted to play. It was a lot of fun to write and research—I learned so much about birds and wildlife (and watched so many excellent videos of parrots using cell phones). Thanks for the inspiration! <3
